This Tuesday all you get is reports and Top10 – I have to confess I spent the weekend playing on Fire and Sand (blush) and now a new Test had begin today and I have such an addiction to start a village – only an observation account, I promise! I managed to keep my fingers away from New Years special, mainly because it is a slow.
I really like the way Travian have developed, with many different types of servers. Tournament is my most precious, to follow you through qualifications and then how you meet the new challenges in Final. It’s exciting to see the new strategies and the shift from a few mega populated metas to several smaller metas that all stubbornly going for an influence in endgame.
I like the Europe map and sharing of artefacts in the Birthdays server and I have still a lot to learn about how to use them best.
Kingdoms, I didn’t like it from beginning but I have changed my mind. I’m very fond of the way you extend your territory and all the small things as robbers and card game. Two extra building slots is so nice!
All versions use clusters, but in different ways. In Final it is about to build close and a stronghold in desired area, if you are to far from your friends you can’t rely on getting def when needed.
For Kingdoms you have to be within the borders of a king to get all the advantages that follows. The area where you can settle is restricted, you have to follow your King.
Birthday servers finally need a very different strategy. You want small boots? As many as possible runs with next village to that region to win it by having more than 50% population. So you can end up with small “clusters” together with other players in your ally over the whole map. When you have secured a region you move to next.
I have to finish this so I can allow myself to start on Kingdoms. It’s a whole year since I last played with my friends there and I have missed them so!

Somewhat amusing. When I started to write on the Russian forum I soon learned that you show always the whole report or you will get a lot of angry yells. On Nordwinds forum a guy was teased for not doing it. He posted a new report, but only with reinforcements ^^
